- The Marie Weil Award Committee (a subcommittee of the Award Committee), chaired by Dorlisa Minnick, honors the best article in last year’s Journal of Community Practice. If you like to read and appreciate some great scholarship by serving on this committee, please contact Dorlisa: djminnick@ship.edu. - The Nominations Committee, chaired by Monica Leisey, is seeking committee members to assist with recruiting macro social workers for the ACOSA board. Please contact Monica if your interested: mleisey@salemstate.edu. Any member in good standing can run for the board as well as recommending colleagues for board positions.
ACOSA is only as healthy as its member involvement. Please consider giving your time to one of these committees; most of the work is late summer/early fall. And don’t forget to lift-up others for awards and opportunities to serve.
