The Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is accepting proposals for the 67th Annual Program Meeting (APM) in Orlando, FL, November 4–7, 2021. The conference theme—Leading Critical Conversations: Racial, Economic, & Environmental Justice—builds on the theme of the 2020 APM, which focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and addresses how the COVID-19 pandemic continues to widen gaps.

We encourage participants to incorporate lessons learned from the pandemic and its lasting effects into proposals, including how technology use created opportunities and challenges for social work students, practice systems, and the populations they serve.

CSWE invites proposals from multiple perspectives and voices. Proposals should raise critical issues about practices, policies, and structures that hinder or advance racial, economic, and environmental justice. They should also identify strategies for improving the explicit and implicit curricula and learning environment of social work education.

The deadline to submit a proposal is Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 11:59 pm EST.

Submit a Proposal

CSWE seeks two types of proposals:

  • Peer-reviewed proposals (four presentation options) submitted to one of 40 tracks
  • Invited proposals (six presentation options) Including three preconference events: Field Education Institute, Teaching Institute for Faculty, and a Technology Summit

All proposals must be submitted via the 2021 APM submission site.
