What is this?
This is a call to social work educators, practitioners, scholars, and students to join a new initiative – the Social Work Activist Collective. We are seeking new ways of thinking, strategizing, and organizing to promote justice-centered, progressive social work.
If this interests you, please join us for our Launch Event on March 7th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm (ET). At this event we will share information on the development of the Collective thus far, and invite dialogue and action planning emanating from these questions: (1) what isn’t working in social work education and practice; (2) how can we hold social work accountable to its professed principles of challenging social injustice and addressing societal problems; and (3) what can we do to support one another and mobilize?
